Indoor antenna reviews 2014
Who is it for?
Those who need a strong antenna to pull-in poor channels and do not mind the trade-off in volume.
Design and setup: numerous mounting choices
Eschewing the level, flexible styles of Mohu, Lava yet others, the RCA ANT1650F is much more akin to the Channel Master and Terk offerings with a stand and amplifier for improved reception.
You are able to lay the $80 antenna flat on a table, hang it on a couple of provided screws, or use a provided U-shaped chrome stand-to stick it upright. This RCA is a tad skimpy on some features — without any LED energy indicator, and a 6-foot cable faster than most — but its overall performance had been laudable.
Performance: effective reception
The ANT1650F flawlessly taken in recalcitrant stations in our test location, eg NBC. It had been even in a position to get a place that thwarted many more, the area ABC affiliate marketer, making for a total of 31 watchable over-the-air channels.
